Be
bigger. You are a politician – you have
to have a big ego. For the most part,
you were right on.
At
times, quiet the crowd down but You LOVE that you do that.

a kiss on the forehead before Jack comes into the picture or help her sit –

After the judge dies and he does his monologue the blue lighting is too harsh and u can't see his face and when there is dying going on there needs to be more people yelling words than people screaming
ReplyDeleteIt takes awhile for the judge to get from his scene with jack to his death scene, so we either need something going on or he needs to be faster.
ReplyDeleteI want to work on being a person from 1920 and not someone from 2015!! Also I want to have relationships with people and make it look real!!
ReplyDeleteGood practice over all. I think once we get lines fully memorized things will move faster. Some scenes are a bit awkward but again it will probably come with better memorization
ReplyDeleteI think that while I say my line about the children dying, we should integrate the actions of seeing it. As I say, "There was a fire drill up at the new school house in mason county" the silhouette should come on. When i say " The fire escape pulled loose and the whole thing fell away," Paige is wobbly and then falls and screams. After the scream, it goes quiet and I say "Spraying kids inn all directions."
ReplyDeleteI think the people who were here and filled in, we had a lot of people noises and the crowd scenes were a lot better
ReplyDeleteI am loving the play so far, but I agree with Kayla, we need to work on the awkward and rusty scenes and this will do very good once we get it all memorized and get it moving a little smoother.
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of our progress but we need to keep putting in 110%!! we've got a solid base with lots of wibbly, wobbly.... stuff..... but we can solidify that and we should be golden!
ReplyDeleteI think that we should figure out how to be scared because right now all we do is scream. If we can figure this out it will add even more depth to our play.
ReplyDeleteThe crowd scenes were much better with the adlibing. We need to keep that energy going through out the rest of the show. This show has a lot information presented at the beginning of the show and if we do not keep the energy up and keep the show interesting the audience will lose interest in the first 5 min.
ReplyDeleteMake sure that when you are in the back we can tell what your doing so it does not look weird. Also jack whdn you say " i thought I was writing my column" emphasize the second "I" and not "my."
ReplyDeleteI wish I coulda been there, but it sounds like a good practice. We can't make it look awkward in the relationship you may be in because it will make the audience feel awkward. we need to get more comfertable with eachother so it won't look so awkward on stage!!
ReplyDeleteI feel that at times there may be to much going on in the back we should keep the important moments but really look into what we need and what we don't
ReplyDeleteIf we can get the transitions down it will make the party wayyyyyy better in a lot of different ways
ReplyDeleteI need to work in making NY studders more natural, and in the assassination scene I feel like the crowd shkukd react more
ReplyDeleteThis is Tristin
DeletePlay is really great as of now. Remember emotion is the reason lights are the different color
ReplyDeleteCharacterization is the key in this play. We only have 15 people on stage, so we have to make the most of it. The people who have multiple characters have to make each character different from not only the people around you, but from your other character as well. Costume changes will help with this, however we can't count on them to show the judges different people. Also, everyone needs to find stage business so that you are not awkward on stage.
ReplyDeleteThe rehearsal tonight went well i felt tons of energy from everyone...i think the background crowd needs to work on transitioning to one scene from another right now everyone is still relying on having a teacher tell us where to go. Also i agree with the kiss for Lucy and Willie right now its still not feeling like you two are married and we want the audience too feel that y'all love each other and that Lucy at the beginning is supporting Willie.
ReplyDeleteWhen the scenes where people get shot and then the scene where Paige falls, I think people are screaming so loud that you can't understand if people are adlibing or not. Also everyone screams at the same time and the same way it sounds unnatural.
